Come on in . . .

Welcome to our housewarming party!

Thanks for stopping by. I’m sorry about the mess. As you can see, the guests have gotten a little rowdy. By the way, do you know the Muffin Man? I'll have to introduce you. Wait--oh my! Who’s hanging from the ceiling? Excuse me . . .

WOULD ALL MONKEYS KINDLY REMOVE THEMSELVES FROM THE CHANDELIER?

Anyway, where were we? Ah, yes. I was welcoming you to The Little Crooked Cottage, where I live with four children’s book authors--Anika, Jamie, Kara, and Kristen. I’d introduce you, but they appear to be wrangling monkeys from the rafters.

We’re settling into our new home, where every week, we’ll be sharing favorite books from our library, and chatting over tea with authors, illustrators, and librarians.

Being a busy pig, I also host two shows here at the cottage. Every other Monday, I interview storybook characters on my hit talk show, Mr. Pig Live! (I'm filming one in a moment!) And on Fridays, you can test your children’s book knowledge on my popular game show, Name That Book!

Of course, I’m not always at the Cottage. I often film on location with my author and illustrator friends. Why, I’m going to drop by a beloved illustrator’s studio this very Thursday. Hey! Why don’t you join me? It’s a date--oops! Aarrgh! HELP!

Oh dear. I’m fine. Just slipped on something. Pardon me. . . .

OK, WHO THREW THE BANANA PEEL ON THE FLOOR?!

Er . . . Would you care for something to eat? Oh, look! Snow White's grandmother is handing out apples. At least, I think that’s her grandmother. On second thought, why don’t you enjoy the special lunch that our caterer, Nina, prepared?

Do enjoy your stay. Now forgive me, I must go to to the library to interview my Mystery Guest on today’s Mr. Pig Live! We go on-air in a few minutes. Won’t you stay to watch? I promise . . . no more monkey business!

  1. Love the Crooked Little Cottage and all the monkeys! I'll try to tune in again later. I want to sample all the goodies you've planned for us.

  2. Hello!

Just leaving a note to let you know that I dropped by! Sorry I wasn't able to be there in person (well, in bunny). I love bananas -- and shenanigans!

Looking forward to future posts :)
