The Little Crooked Bookshelf

Bud and Gabby
by Anne Davis

What it's all about  . . .
Two cats, Bud and Gabby, live their little cat lives like a well-oiled machine. Until the unthinkable happens--Gabby turns yellow and has to visit the vet!  This sweet story follows these cat pals through good days and bad. Through sickness and health. And ends up delivering a sweet message about friendship.

Why it’s on the Crooked Bookshelf . . .

Cats are pretty important animals. And a book that offers such a careful study of feline friendship should not be missed.

Our favorite lines . . .

I knew it was serious when I saw the box.

Our favorite illustration . . .

Why kids will love it . . .

The humorous cat illustrations are quirky and full of life! (Also, there’s a pretty fierce bulldog with lots of spikes.)

Why grown-ups will love it . . .
It’s a nice story about friendship. And for pet owners it also offers a good conversation starter about what to expect when a pet visits the vet.
